The Questions We Ask Ourselves

People tend to live in one of the following four levels: dying, surviving, thriving or flourishing. Since our brain has two jobs – 1) to answer our questions and 2) prove us right – our ability to move from one level to the next depends on the questions we ask ourselves. “Why” and “How” questions keep our brain in the past – “why is this happening to me?”, “how did I get here?”; while “What” and “Who” questions force our brain to be resourceful and move forward – “what do I do next?”, “who can help me?”

The key to progress depends on our ability to ask better questions.
