Do You Ask Stupid Questions?

keep-calm-and-dont-ask-stupid-questions

We are taught there is no such thing as a stupid question but is that true?

Let’s look as some commonly asked questionable questions:

  • “Why does this always happen to me?”
  • “Why can’t I find a job?
  • “How did I end up here?”
  • “How come I’m not a success?”

The truth is these questions do not serve us.  Since our brain has two jobs: to answer our questions and prove us right these questions keep us focused on what we don’t want and stuck in our undesirable circumstances.

 Consider the following adjustments:

  • What is the result I want? What has to happen achieve my result?
  • Who can I call to help me to find a job? Who can I help in desired profession?
  • Where do I want to be? What can I do to get closer to that place?
  • What is my definition of success? Who has already achieved the level of success I desire? What can I do contact him/her?

The power of your questions determines your results.

“Why?” and “how?” questions trigger the filter in your brain that examines the past keeping you there to repeat history. While “what?” and “who?” questions force your brain to consider possibilities to move you forward toward your goals.

You’re brain is answering your questions and proving you right whether you’re conscious of it or not.   Don’t settle for stupid questions that don’t serve you.   What are 5 new empowering questions that move you toward your goals?  Write them NOW!
