You Are Not An Average Person

 Christmas

‘Tis The Season

‘Tis the season for family, festivities, food and fun, for some it’s also a time of lists, limited rest, lack of self-care and lots to do.  The average person celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas gains weight and puts their goals on hold from November 15th to the New Year.

YOU ARE NOT THE AVERAGE PERSON

Commit to making this your “best-self” season of the year by following these simple steps:

  • Identify landmines and threats in advance.  What triggers discomfort or stress, is it Thanksgiving, family, shopping, parties?
  • Decide in advance what you want.  Your brain has two jobs: to answer your questions and prove you right.  When you enter into situations knowing your intended desired outcome your brain will search for ways to make it happen.
  • Align with your purpose.  Be clear why you MUST achieve your outcome NOW – remember your outcome can be a commitment to a positive attitude, ability to influence a situation or continued progress toward your goals until the end of the year.  Purpose is always more powerful than activity.
  • Stay steadfast to your routines.  Maintain a strong mindset by continuing healthy habits.  Exercise, meditate, journal, daily hour of power, gratitude, eat healthy between holidays and continue weekly coaching** sessions.

  • Establish strategies to show up as your best self.  Enter situations as your best self.  Create a powerful Triad (physiology, focus & beliefs, language), establish pattern interrupts in advance, and have fun!
  • Celebrate.  ‘Tis the season for celebration.  Remember to celebrate your successes and take time to appreciate all the gifts that surround you.

Happy Holidays!
